1st Domain Name Sale

Posted in Technology at 11:29 pm by Administrator

This past weekend I sold my first Domain Name. As some of you already know, I have bought up about 7 different domain names. Most of them were for my own personal projects but I did buy one with for the purpose of selling it on an auction site. Well I had this name up on the Auction site for about 4 months with no bids or anything. Then this past week I got an email saying that this person put a bid on my domain name. I bought the name for a measly $8 on Godaddy. This guy offered me $400 for DisneyDream.com. After talking with guys at work and some other people I decided to take the money. With this sale I have paid for all of my other domain names and hosting and still got money to either buy more or to sock into savings. First thing I did was to buy another domain name and put it up for auction. Maybe I can get lucky again. No one has yet given me a bid for SethCrotchett.com. Im waiting people.

Mardi Gras!

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:47 pm by Administrator

Mardi Gras in the STL is sure to be one of the biggest ones yet. I think that with New Orleans being in the state that it is, i think the STL Mardi Gras will be huge. Anyone celebrating Mardi Gras this year in STL, New Orleans, or some other city? We probably wont go to the STL one but we will probably go out on Fat Tuesday and Celebrate. STL got pretty strict a couple years ago saying that “Outside sales of alcohol in the neighborhood will end again this year at 8:00pm. Bars will again close at 11:00pm. ”

Brilliant!!

All I can say is “Mr. Cheney that was brilliant”. I think your probably a little to old to be hunting if you dont see your buddy in front of you wearing a “bright orange safety vest”. Maybe our government needs to go out hunting more often. Luckily the guy is going to be ok but damn it was priceless to hear that.

Blue Collar Comedy Tour

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:40 am by Administrator

Last night for Erin’s brothers birthday a big group of us went to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Most of you have probably heard of it. It starred renowned comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy. First off the show was at the Savvis Center(the home of the St. Louis Blues). This arena is way too big for a comedy show in my opinion. When I think of a comedy show, i want a personal setting that is small and you can actually see the reaction and the facial expressions on the comedian face.

Im not saying I didn’t enjoy my time but it definately would have been better in a smaller more personal place. I only have seen two of the four guys before so I didn’t know what to expect from the others. I will say that all four of the guys are really funny, but haven’t we had enough of the ‘Git R done’ slogan from Larry the Cable Guy. Nothing is more annoying than having a bunch of red necks repeating this quote. That was like four years ago when he came out with that. It drives me nutz. I will say that I enjoyed the show and had a lot of laughs. Good times.

A long drive!

Posted in Pics at 9:28 am by Administrator

As some of you may or may not know, I drive about 60 miles to work and 60 miles home from work each day. On this drive I sometimes see some pretty interesting animals, people, and other things. Almost everyday now I have the pleasure of seeing:
1. Two Bald Eagles
2. Multiple wild turkeys
3. All sorts of wild deer
4. I’m still waiting for some sort of loc ness monster to pop out of the river.

I really wish I had a better camera so that I could take some pictures of these bald eagles. What an awesome site to see every day. Here is a picture I found of a Bald Eagle in Alton.
