Cardinals vs. Cubs Weekend
To keep the rivarly alive I had to post this.

“Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?” — George W. Bush
Which President declared Memorial Day a federal holiday on the last Monday in May?
Which Chicago Stadium opened on October 9, 1924 as a memorial to those who fought in WWI?
These should be easy enough for you to answer.

1. Play Softball
2. Grill Hot Dogs and Brats at Grand Opening of Grafton Harbor(we are raising money for our Relay for Life team)
3. Go to Alton Block Party
4. I would like to hang out one day this weekend at some outside bar with a nice band playing.
5. The rest of the weekend I would like to enjoy the nice weather and wash my jeep and catch up on some much needed sleep (Sleep in all weekend).
Wish I was camping with my boys up in Springfield. I also would like to plan a float trip sometime this summer. It’s been a while since we did one of these things. If anyone is interested let me know.
Welll Hoop-It-Up came and went again this year. We won our first 3 games. Then played a team that was all college basketball players and lost. Then we started the playoffs and we got the 2 seed going against the other pool’s 3 seed. They had a guy that was probably 6′8 or so. We ended up losing the first game in the playoffs and thus ending our play. Pretty interesting weekend other than that. Saw the regular fighting and terrible officiating like usual.
This one has multiple questions. Answer them all right and win a free stay in beautifull Jerseyville, IL.
“The Bambino and Black Sox are not the only curses part of baseball folklore. One of the lesser talked about curses involves Keith Hernandez. The curse has been blamed for some Cardinals’ postseason struggles after 1983.”
A. The curse began in 1983 after an infamous trade. What day did the trade happen? June 25, June 15, July 15, or July 25
B. In 1985, the Cardinals were in the World Series against the Royals. A controversial call in the ninth inning started the unraveling of the Cardinals. Which Royal was called safe at first even though a replay showed he was out? Jorge Orta, Dane Iorg, Pat Sheridan, or George Brett
C. What Cardinal rookie was also said to be a victim of the Curse of Keith Hernandez in 1985?
Added a new photo gallery for you all. Should make it easier to organize and view my photos. I added it to the menu on the right “Photo Gallery”.
Even this Republican baby can’t stand this man. His approval rating hits 31% while his approval rating from babies hits an all time low of 10%.
In other news I found out that i missed the Beard World Championship again! Check out this site with great pictures.
We won our first softball game last night. I think the final score was 23-8, and we ended the game early. You can view Stats by clicking on the link on the right nav bar that say Softball Stats. I was 3 for 3. The first two hits were not very good but ran them out then I had a nice line drive to right center. Might have been able to stretch a double out of it but someone else was on base.
Who is the only batter to win a batting title in three different decades?
a. Pete Rose
b. George Brett
c. Carl Yastrzemski
d. Rod Carew
e. Billy Williams
Congrats go out to Erin (fiance) on graduating Nursing school. Tonight will be her pinning. It’s been a tough and long ride and it’s finally going to pay off. Speaking of paying off - Erin accepted a position at Childrens Hospital in Downtown St. Louis. The nice little sign-on bonus will come in handy when i decide to get my new computer.
